If I’m being honest, I do think the photoshopped version is more flattering to the dress. The smaller waist helps that spray of green on top pop. BUT, it’s an unnecessary edit – I still would have noticed the work on the dress without the manipulation. And, ultimately, the shot I posted is no longer an accurate representation of the piece – and it’s live runway, isn’t reality the point?
I’m numb to flagrant photoshopping in editorials/catalogs, but this is ridiculous. Altering a runway shot seems like cheating. I wonder if it was the decision of the designer or the website I used (FlipZone).
